Green Practices

BAKFC is Going Green

What are Green Building Practices?

Energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are some green building practices.

Do Association Builders use these practices?

Most builders use green building practices in the homes they build.  These include ENERGY STAR® appliances and windows; recycled content materials; and water-conserving fixtures.

What is a CGP or Certified Green Professional?

Upon completing 24 hours of course work on Green Building for Building Professionals, in addition to Business Management for Building Professionals or holding an NAHB designation, the Certified Green Professional designation is awarded.
